Domestic Day.
Today we remained at Bugsworth Basin and caught up on some domestic chores. I walked about a mile to the village of Chinley to the laundrette with towels and bedding, while Marlene washed smaller items at the boat.So here are a few pictures from around the Basin and near by village.
Welcome to Mick and Marlenes daily journal of life aboard Doublefracture. Doublefracture is a 57ft Narrowboat. She gets her name from the incident 6 years ago when both Marlene and Mick broke multiple bones after being knocked down by a car in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
After retiring in April 2009 Mick has taken up a full time job as Marlenes private chef, abaord their home for that last 4 years.
Throughout the coming weeks, months and years they will navigate the waterways of England and Wales without any timetable or schedule.
Please add your comments to the photo's and daily notes if you wish.
